External Hard Drive HTPC cases
Hey gang, I am so sorry to bother you but I would love to add some additional storage to my HTPC, and here is my question. Does anyone have any cool links to external cases for hard drives that can be used with HTPC? I have some small tiny cases that are black but they are plastic and I cant really do stack one on top of the other because of their shape.
Once I did see this case, it was for 4 hard drives, metal case where drives were put on the bottom of it, it was a height of a Hard Drive but drives were aligned next to each other. I cannot find link to that case, and I remember I loved that… Anyway any links or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I would love to have Hard Drive case similar to my HTPC computer in shape and color maybe… Regards, Chris

I think ATech and Ahanix have some nice aluminum external cases.

are you looking to use a firewire connection or network it?
if networked i'd be more be more inclined to hide it some place for firewire connection maybe you could rig something up in one of the coolermaster atc-620 boxes? it will hold 5 drives if you rig it up. |

http://atechfabrication.com/products/mass_storage.htm It's not cheap though ($325 + options), but if it's anything like their HTPC cases, then it's great quality.

I don't think so, SATA is much more accepting of long cable runs than PATA is.
