OK guys, I skimmed through this, is there a good Sage setup (one that uses all the buttons) on the Harmony site?

I just skipped messing with the defaults and programmed my own. It was way easier than messing with one of the profiles that have been submitted.

So how does the whole profile thing work, if I add my own, does it become a part of the database? What I'd like to do, is just setup a profile with all the sage commands mapped to something (and named appropriately) so someone can just go in an re-arrange them as necessary.

I'm trying to remember what I picked when I setup the 520 for use with the MVP. I think I choose a Hauppague PVR 150 profile which gave me all the 45 buttons of the remote. That maps pretty well for Sage. After that its relatively easy to change it on a per button basis. I think I picked the same with my 659. I'll double-check for you later.

I picked the Panasonic SD-H500 PVR, then hooked all the buttons up manually. Since that PVR is a tivo + dvd player, all the buttons are active, and it does everything I need to do. I didn't really care what code mapped to what, so long as the button legend made sense. The stuff without hard buttons is even easier, since you just find out what you haven't already used, and map them to soft menu items, willy-nilly. I love it so much that I ordered a second Harmony for my setup upstairs.

Yeah, stanger, that is what I did, but freaking Logitech bought Harmony and their support went straight to hell compared to what it used to be...I keep trying to get it set up but if I don't respond to thier emails withing like a day most of the time they close the issue and I have to kind of start back up again...

I basically have the IR code profile from the silver 45 button in with up to 64 commands right now to program to whatever users want...I don't believe it is yet on the site though. I am trying to get it expanded all the way to the allowed 128 commands by the profile, but like I said, support is kind of funny right now. I also have the original silver remote and the black remote started to be set up but I have only really been using the silver 45...

Damn it, pardon my language, but those boneheads did it again. I don't respond to them right away and they close the problem...never mind ever solving anything. I've kind of gotten away from email with instant messaging and all that damn spam, even with filters it is still a lot of work to filter stuff down. Remember the good old days of email when spam was few and far between? Ahh...anyway, I will try again, just going to have to make an effore to be more on the ball about my email for a little while...

This would be so much easier if they just provided a piece of software for use on the PC that could be internet updated that you could just copy codes and stuff around in and assign buttons etc...I wonder if I ever won the lottery if I would have enough capital to make that remote and software. Might have to do a yearly upgrade fee for the software, but make sure it was minimal, for a freaking remote that works awesome I would definatly pay like $10 a year or something...especially if they kept improving the software etc...
