LCD TV too dark with MVP
I have just replaced my 14" bedroom TV with a shiney new 17" widescreen JVC LCD TV (LT-17E31).
The problem is that my MVP's picture seems to be quite dark. If I flick to the aerial input the picture is much brighter (it seems that there is more contrast between light and dark). The DVD also looks fine through the TV. I have tried changing the SCART cable and plugging the MVP into SCART 2 on the TV both to no avail. If I crank up the contrast/brightness on the TV, the blacks become very grey. Is there any way to get the MVP to turn up its brightness/contrast? Here's a pic just to show off the new badboy ![]() |

There is, but only in the original Hauppauge MVP software. If you stop sage, then load the Hauppauge MVP software you can adjust brightness.
Settings made there 'stick' in Sage as well. Jason Bottjen Quote:

I have searched all over the place and can't find any indication that there is a brightness/contrast control on the MVP software.
I have spotted that several people are having the same problem. So far they have just cranked up the brightness on the TV - but with my LCD TV, this is not really an option. any more thoughts? |

![]() I even loaded the Beta software off Hauppauge's site thinking it might be in there.

Bump
Is there a solution for this yet? Does anyone know if there will ever be any kind of control for the MVP? My main concearn is that the MVP will be Frey's extender of choice. Moe info would be great!! ![]() |
