MPEG files created with sage don't look good with other apps

I created a thread earlier regarding choppiness of LiveTV and recordings in SageTV (which has now been successfully resolved.). My only remaining problem is with the output files created from SageTV.

For example, if I recorded a TV show in SageTV and then watched the recording in SageTV, the PQ is very good.

When I open the mpeg files in WMP and watch them in that, there is a significant difference in PQ - Fast motion and the like, causes blurring/choppyness.

In my previous thread, someone said to change the settings in WMP but did not specify where/how to do this.

Anyone got any ideas?

It's probably due to the fact that you're using a good decoder in SageTV since you can select the decoder to use. On the other hand in WMP is uses the "system default" decoder and this could be an less then desirable decoder.
