'how to' guides for SageTV, Meedio, Girder, & SendMessage

Hi all-

I have SageTV integrated pretty well with Meedio and Girder, so I thought I'd make a few html guides documenting it in case I forget

I wrote some stuff about my problems of focus, sendmessage, ID3 tag and windows folder/filename mp3 metadata display issues, girder GML files, Meedio .SCREEN files, and some SageTV customizations.

I hope these will help; links for the guides are below, in my signature.

Awesome! Thanks for doing this ...

Would be great if they were PDF files ... Weird thing ... My Acrobat Writer normally converts web pages to PDF perfect. For some reason when it converts the how-to guides it extracts the screen shots?? Go Figure

I tested with Acrobat writer on one of the pages, and it seems to have converted okay. I can post the pdf guides over the weekend, as long as fodder doesn't mind.

Thanks for posting the guides!

of course i don't mind; please post them. thanks!

i'm not sure why they shouldnt convert to PDF files, unless it's due to the fact that i created them in *cough* MS Word b/c it's the only thing i had installed and i didn't want to lose my momentum

You might also want to post these or links to these on the sage Wiki at www.sage-community.org

Okay, I looked at the wiki page & maybe they'd fit under the "Sage Information" section? Only problem is that I'm scared of that sandbox but posting links, html's, or even PDF's there would be great.

Please do! And if there is anything I can do to help with the process, let me know.

thanks blue! i just downloaded them from your post

ersatzTom, do you know how to add links or even better the PDF files to the wiki at http://www.sage-community.org ?

that would help since i don't know how to do it. (i was thinking they might fit under the "Sage Information" section, but anywhere more appropriate is fine.) it's cool if you can't or don't have time. thanks,
-fod
