Projector Questions

I just got the InFocus x1a as a gift and was wondering what input would be best for Sage. I don't know much about it, only the stuff I casually glanced it at because it didn't apply to me, but does the VGA input cause tearing? is SVideo better?

You can test if the video will tear by trying it out on your monitor can't you? I would also imaging that you should definately use VGA instead of s-video. If you've got a half decent display card it should do 800x600 without any tearing or stuttering at all.

Nice gift!

BTW, since you're unsure how best to set it up, I'd be willing to set it up and test it for you. Would likely need some prolonged testing!

I run my projector via the VGA port. It allows you to bypass all the OSD, display issues that many here have to work around.

They only other way I would drive a projector is via DVI or HDMI.

no DVI and no HDMI on the video card.

I have it running with the VGA connector and I don't see any tearing issues, which is refreshing.

Don't have HD cable yet but cant' wait to test that out.

By the way, it was an older cousin who gave it to me and I am more than grateful. I already bought him 2 nice money clips
