Automated way to get channel logos?
I just set up my new HTPC with SageTV last night. It took me a few days since the memory I bought for the new machine was bad... lots of BSOD and random reboots with a fresh install of WinXP (even during the install!). Memtest showed that the memory was bad, and now I'm up and running with a different working stick.
First impressions... WOW! Everytyhing pretty much worked right out of the box. I had some trouble getting my dual 150MCE cards setup... Sage didn't recognize them at first so I reinstalled drivers and rebooted a couple of times and now all is well. I'm currently playing with Cayars's STV and will be checking out many of the other mods in the near future. I'm wondering at this point if there is an automated way to fetch channel logos for my cable lineup? I did a quick search and didn't find anything... a few weeks ago I was playing around with MythTV on an old linux box, and it's configured to use XMLTV to automatically download image files for all the channels in a specific lineup. Has anyone rigged something like this for sage? Thanks in advance... |

Here's a little trick if you know where you're brower stores it's cached data.
Configure your cable lineup on Zap2It. Clear the cache from options in IE. Go back to Zap2It and run through each page of of your lineup or set it to show all channels on one page. Look in the cache directory. ![]() Not automated but saves a lot of work. Carlo |

Nice... thanks for the tip. It requires some renaming, but is a great way to pull down all the files!
