A DVD library using DVDprofiler

Is there anyway, or is anyone capable/interested in having a list of your DVD's show up in the videos section if they are NOT stored on the Hard Drive. I have DVDprofiler set up with my entire collection--pics and all--and it would be really nice to be able to use sage to see what DVD's I have (that are not on the HD). Maybe even prompting me to insert Disk # X or something like that. I know this has been mentioned before but i thought i would bring it up again.

I like this idea, too. I don't plan to rip all of my DVDs, only the ones that we watch repeatedly (mostly kids stuff, demo material and the wife's exercise stuff). I know some STVs are using in the informatio for files on the computer, but you think they could also display the info for the other files as well.

silly workaround... create a very very short 'placeholder' mpg and put it in an appropriate folder in the vid lib named after the dvd you want...

Its a lot of manual work, to set up, but it does what you want

silly indeed...but I guess it would work. It would be nice to use DVDprofilers # system though so it could prompt you to 'insert disk # X'. I remember mlbdude saying something that it currently wasn't possible to do this for DVD's not stored on the HD. But, i am not sure if that was just for his sagemc stv or all of the stv's in general. Anyway, this would be cool and save me some HD space for more recordings.
