Info Window

How do I make the Info window not timeout so quickly?

Also, It seems to be cut off on all 4 edges equally. When viewing it in a non-full screen mode, it shows the entire thing. I am using Nvidia 4000 series video card. Quality seems pretty good to me. No high def equipment. How can I get the whole picture in full-screen mode?

Not sure on the first question, but for the screen size stuff, go into the setup screens, select Multimedia, and then Overscan Settings. Follow the instructions to position your top-left and bottom-right parts of the screen.

You mean the OSD info display during playback, right? Change the osd_autohide_time property. The time is in milliseconds.

You will find that property in the Sage.properties file in the SageTV directory. For more details on the properties file, see Appendix A, starting on p. 178 in the v2.2 PDF manual, which is also in your SageTV directory.

Not sure exactly what you mean. I know that for me, VMR9 is quite a bit brighter than the other modes for video playback. That's available in the setup screens as well (under Video, then Video Renderer).

Just figured out the brightness issue is with the Video card because even with Sage running, my 4000 series Nividia isn't outputing very brightly. I can't figure out for the life of me where to change that. Surely there is a "BASIC" brightness setting for the video card?

Great! That works fantastically. Can I enhance the font size of ONLY that information bit?

For the default STV, no not really -- it uses the base font property for most of the OSD, so if you change any properties for that font, it will affect other parts of the UI.

I understand Cayars has everythig but the kitchen sink but isn't being developed anymore. Is there a comparable STV anyone would recommend that IS being developed? I can't easily tell which is and isn't.

The overscan adjustment does allow the window to fit in full screen. If reduced to a windows size though, it is off. I can have the sage screen correctly sized and centered in either "full-screen view" OR "windowed" but not both. Any ideas there?

Check for a "gamma" slider in the driver settings... that'll brighten your screen.

I am using a Girder GML file that is a few months old. It doesn't quite have all the hooks for library commands and so forth in it. Is there a more up-to-date GML file?
