Time Sync Issues

It looks like my computer is 'drifting' to the tune of approximately 1 1/2 minutes per day which must be a hardware issue. This is causing part of my time sync issues. The time sync built into XP shows 'an error occurred while synchronizing with time.windows.com'. I have turned that built-in feature of XP and am now using Atomtime which allows me to check various time servers if the address is known. I would like to check and see what the SageTV server says periodically in troubleshooting this. Does anyone know what the address of the SageTV time server is?

time sync is a built-in feature of sage, it is in the detailed options. you can use that. also, you can type anything into the Windows Internet Time area. pool.ntp.org is a good one because it routes you to available servers in a 'pool'.

The option to have SageTV automatically sync with the EPG server just has SageTV check the time when it connects once a day to download the EPG update. As far as I know, the SagetV EPG server does its own atomic time sync. Where it connects isn't overly important, since the atomic time servers shouldn't be _that_ far off from each other. The PC time just has to be 'close' to correct anyway, since there is no guarantee the TV source itself will be exactly on time, regardless of any published airing times.
