Closed captions and PVR-150

I read the manual and it says that closed captions are supported by PVR-250 and PVR-350. May I hope to get closed captions from PVR-150 or I shouldn't to?
Well, this is really important to me, actually, I tried but failed.
Looks as there are no traces of closed captions in mpg file...

While the possibilty exists in the hardware. It doesn't exist in the drivers... yet.

For now the 250 and 350 are your only options for closed captions.

Are we still at a loss for the users of the 150/500 PVR cards for CC? Just wondering if a new driver has enabled this feature?

Not that I know too much about CC - but the information appears to be in the mpeg file that some cards produce, so, it can be extracted. Are there also card driver dependencies? Probably. However, demand for this has not been significant, not that I could tell.

If I would want/need it, I'd make some noise.

Honest advice would be to say that MCE has CC on any tuner card it supports.

I don't think it's a priority for SageTV to offer this universal CC solution at this time.

So if you must run SageTV (Like Me) then you should've done some research before your purchase and just bought PVR 250s to begin with. CC works perfectly for me. It's not as well presented and displayed onscreen as what I've seen in MCE though, but it works.

As I hear it there is no CC support for the extenders either, is that so?

I did do research before buying (8 months worth, to be exact), and CC was not a factor, however, I have an hour long show now, that was recorded without sound, because I guess the sound was out on cable (only explaination that I have?). I can see myself watching the entire show with CC, but I'm not going to sit through an hour long show trying to read lips... I was just hoping that it would be there, already in the file somehow.

Does the possibility exist for the PVR-USB2? (PVR-250 based)
