I think it's the same thing that my fiance calls "Real TV". I can't figure out what it is either.
doron: Yes, that would be nice in some situations (football season & NCAA tourney come to mind), but AFAIK no one has tried it with Sage yet. |

You can run 2 instances of SageTV (or at least you can for the client) & play 2 shows at the same time that way... so if you had a video card w/output for 2 TVs, you could put 1 SageTV window on each monitor & then switch between them. Edit: or use the TV's PIP feature if it has 2 inputs.

Sorry friends,
I meant PIP=Picture in picture... I would have want to have this feature in SAGE and not to use remote with 1 station and local with other, and to move between them :-) is there a plan to add PIP? |

I third this request. I was looking at MythTV(a linux PVR) and this was one of the features that it had that I was looking forward to playing with but I had too many troubles getting Linux to like my hardware. So if this feature could be added it would be a good selling point.

And I forgot to mention the whole, "I've got to pee, but will have to wait for the commercial" aspect of that ancient practice of watching live tv. Now it's just "I have to pee....PAUSE.... go pee.....PLAY" I really have to stop talking about this because sooner or later the "sheeple" are going to catch on and learn our ways of getting our lives back. Then the advertisers will realize that nobody is watching their drivle and they'll start bulding the ads into the programming kind of like the did back in the early days of TV where many of the ads were part of the script of the shows.

Glad you did not say "PAUSE .... play ... pee." Sorry, couldn't resist.

Maybe POP is Picture OR Picture, allowing you to watch one channel or the other by pressing a button to switch between them? You can do that with the Previous Channel command.

POP is Picture outside of Picture. Essentially two 4x3 frames displayed side by side in the 16x9 frame of an HD display.

Well, that's not POP, that's... oh never mind. I see why they stopped where they did.
