COOL Backgrounds

Some backgrounds work better than others for SageTV. Please share your backgrounds. Also, I think there 'might be' a way to have a moving background similar to what TiVo does.

Anyway....

Any COOL BACKGROUNDS please share...

ErsatzTom included this one with the Xcard plugin (hope it is OK to upload it separately) and it is the one I've been using with any STV that goes through my Xcard. I'm not sure who made it, but it sure looks like it took a lot of PhotoShop skill to get a design this fancy!

Nielm's Dynamic Menus

Neilm just updated his Dynamic Menus here.
He has bypassed the whole default menu system and re-created it so that the back command works properly. He has also added extensive capabilities to move things around and rename them. Now that I have a nice complete menu.xml, I have changed one graphic file to make the item more to my likeing. My main menu has all of Neilm's icons on it by default, the first of which is illustrated by mymainmenu.jpg. I would like to change newspaper.jpg also attached to conform to the same style as Nielms default ones. Could someone take a look at newspaper.jpg and see if it can be modified to more closely follow Neilm's main icon theme with the brown borders and all.

I have it replacing the default icon for LiveTV Guide as I am trying to weene people away from using it. I think the newspaper.jpg does that fairly well but it needs a brown border outline somehow.

I would love some help on this.

Snoopy, I've noticed that in all your screenshots, there's always a conflict icon showing. Looks like you need another tuner or two...

You are probably right sir
I have recently corrected some of them. Thanks for pointing that out.

Logos with EyeBatch

Here is a Nifty download called EyeBatch which will autocrop logos as well as make them all png format if you want, all with one stroke of the clicker. My logos show up much bigger in the guide among other places now as a result of using this. Interestingly enough, SageTV automatically streches it (disproportionally as needed) to fit inside it's own little space which further enhances it's viewability from within SageTV. Please feel free to msg me on MSN if you want more info

VERY COOL app.
