What causes those weird 3D accellerated graphics artifacts (triangles, lines, colors)

I noticed that ones in a while when 3D accelleration is on, if I go into large complex menus back and forth (like custom menus).

Is there any way to avoid this? Is there not enough direct3d memory allocated to Sage?

I noticed there are a bunch of settings in sageclient.properties related to video memory, memory caching, etc. I'm a little bit nervous to poke around an experiment. Does anyone know if there are any settings to help reduce these weird 3d accellerated artifacts?
