I'm using SageMC with 6.3.10 and the IMDB is not returning description. Do I still use the " imdb_search_import_6_10.zip"?
Do I just unzip it in Sage as usual and then SageMC will just use the updated Jar file?

i notice there is a few IMDB search issues going on these days, here is mine...

mine was working until a month or two perfectly fine, then out of nowhere it stopped downloading the info and movie descriptions... all i get is the cover and thats it.... no more summary whats going on in the movie... which is quite annoying with some movies i download and forgot what they were about

i have sage 6.3.10 and Sagemc 6.3.7a-fix installed

and like i said it worked before, so not sure wtf it is...

Have you updated the jar file to the latest?

Hi, I'm still using 6.3.10 (waiting for MC to catch up). I am also using MC 6.3.7a. I had the problem that, when importing IMDB for my DVD's, cast info etc was missing. I was only getting the picture and trivia. So, taking the advice above, I installed Version 6_10 of the IMBD plugin. All the data comes in now but when I try to save the data for film 'AI', the client and server lock up. I have to reboot the server. There's nothing in the logs. What other info can I provide to help debug this?

Here I go again, answering my own posts! I now see that this plugin is for SageTV 6.4 only! I guess I'll be spending the weekend upgrading. I assume that MC 6.3.7a works with 6.4? I guess this is not the correct place to ask!

IMDB must have made some changes, as it looks like the import is not working quite right.

No longer getting Episode info for TV shows and everything is rated 13/10.

And a little reminder that the MPAA rating doesn't return the full MPAA rating, it only returns the USA rating.

It looks like IMDB changed the episode listing format.. I can't remember what it was before... but now they list full episode viewing for select shows. What a cool feature if Nielm could add support for viewing that!

Neil.. I feel bad for bugging you every time IMDB changes their format. But any chance you could fix IMDB for us please?

After reading the last few pages it look's like IMDB is broken. But I can't seem to get that far. I import it just fine and the IMDB search button is there but no matter what show is selectd, it never returns a thing. IMDB always returns 0 results found. This has always been the case, I just never really tried fixing it. So now after reading and re-reading, I think I should at least get a show list returned, but nothing. I am using the latest plugin and followed the install to the Tee.

Any help would be appreciated.

I still can not get IMDB to do anything other than return 0 results.

I uninstalled all plugin's and used the default SageTv.xml GUI and rebooted. Re-install the IMDB plugin with the files from post #301 above and rebooted. go to the guide and select a show I previouly verified was listed in IMDB and click on IMDB search button and after 15sec or so I get 0 results found. This is one plugin I have never been able to get working, I don't get it. What am I missing.

Running SageTv as a service on a ASUS P4 2.8 w/1g ram -2003 server
Sage Version 6.4.8.184
Java Ver: 1.6.0_03

SageMC's latest version fixes this problem. I'm not sure if it's as simple as replacing the imdb jar file would fix this problem for people who don't have sageMC.... just a suggestion.

I got IMDB working, or should I say Mike (MeInMaui) did by accedent. He found a directory in the root called ...SageTV\net which I deleted and everything started working. It was from a much older import.

The IMDB search for DVD's does not pull down the MPAA rating for the movies. I'm using the lastest Sagetv and Sagemc version available. Is there a fix for this?

No fix for this at the moment. It's not been working since June. In the 6.4.10 update the US rating is returned, rather than the full MPAA rating.

There is quite a few things not working since the changes to the IMDB site. TV Episodes, Star rating always 13/10, Rating, MPAA Rating
