Whoa, what the heck is this? Just stumbled upon this over at HTPCnews.com... Could we get a screenshot of the main menu (I'm at work, and am too excited to wait until tonight...)

mlb is busy at it again?!

[*]No way to change back to the previous STV
This is currently keeping me from trying this. How would I switch back to SageMC? Edit the sage.properties file?

Or load up Studio and do a File \ Load. However, this STV is not usable just a test release to see how it performs. I am hearing similar results from others that I get so I feel confident that what I see is similar of what others to expect.

Can this be installed in ..\SageTV\SageTV\ just like SageMC is, or should it go in the STV directory? Just want to be sure before I dork anything up...

Should go in the STVs directory (probably).

You can go back by changing the properties file as well. I just meant the STV itself doesn't provide a way to load a different one, not that it was impossible to change back

Hmm...after I upgraded to 4.1, I noticed that the original STV was now an XML file, however, upon changing back to SageMC STV, I am now no longer able to select an XML file from the settings menu?

Do I just have to edit my sage.properties file to change to this XML file? I looked around in the properties file to see if there was a file type setting for "STV" files, but found nothing... Any ideas here? I can't even select the original XML file anymore...

Nice work mlbdude. I like it. I also like the background as the currently playing media.

The animations seems just as fluid as the ones in SageMC, at least on my system. The options menu only hung like everyone else said, on the first time opening it.

AMD 64 3000+ (1.8GHz) with a 6600GT (slightly overclocked, stock). Can't wait to see what this becomes, although I think WAF will be higher with SageMC...

His and her STVs?!

We shall see . I am actually moving away from SageMC since the WAF has been getting lower and lower with all the new features. The goal of this is to to make it so simple to use a first time user can do the 90% tasks without asking questions and have it powerfull in hidden ways for me .

LOL. That's the thing with development here. Everyone wants something more, and better. Maybe one of these days, you should just drop an STV, and say that you are NOT taking any feature requests! Kidding, of course. I just know you were trying to keep things simple, and I still think SageMC seems much simpler to operate than the original STV. And now that my wife is used to it, changing to something else would require calibration...and would have to get a high score on the WAF testing.

Her eyes opened slightly as I creeped into the living room to try out the new STV. Not a single word came out of her as she viewed is disbelief. Not sure what that means, except the usual, "What are you doing to it now?" response was not heard (on deaf ears), so it could be good (or bad)...we shall see...

I remember that is how SageMC started life!

Nice layout -- I like the horizontal theme -- and as always your work is amazing. Worked fine on my system -- barely noticable pause for options -- but mine is a beefy system.

I was a little discouraged with the rendering performance I was getting with Sage on some items. That and the lack of time on my part has stalled this project for now.

I have had some time and continued this project. You can try it out here:

Still pre-beta shape. Most TV funtionality is there though.

...wonder if I can pass this under the radar of my wife, and switch from using SageMC...haven't seen this latest update, but looks like you've worked on it quite a bit.

I think you only had about 20-30 property options in the last release.

WOW! This is a really really great interface! Obviously it could be improved in certain areas to get some basic functionality of other STVs, but this is by far the best interface I've seen yet. Keep up the great work!

It is pretty simple now since I am just trying to get all the basics in to make it so I can use it. Then I will take it past the basics.

Something I noticed and I don't know if you care about but I figured I'd mention it. When grouping by Title in the recordings menu it isn't grouping movies together.
