Recording during set hours only?

I love the record series feature but is there any way for me to block recording between certain hours of the day? I would like my SageTV to record from 4am-6pm, I don't like it when I get cut off because Sage wants to record something else.

Is it possible to make Sage only record during a set number of hours during the day? I love using the TV Guide whenever I'm watching TV, but Sage will cut me off if I am trying to record something during the same time I am watching TV.

I would like to set it up to record shows only during 4am-6pm Monday through Friday. Is it possible?

Why not record the series of what you normally watch between 6pm and 4am? Then you'll get conflict management, and you can take care of whatever show you really want to watch at that time... (or get more tuners!?)

I've always had SageTV ask me, if I wanted to "let" it change the channel for a scheduled recording, and it gives you options. Is that not happening?

No, there is no setting telling SageTV the time periods when it is allowed to schedule recordings. If you are watching live TV, it should ask before switching to a scheduled Manual Recording or Favorite.

Yeah it does popup but I'm usually doing other things...I find it annoying that it will just jump to another channel. There really should be a way to change your series / favorites so they do not record during certain hours.
