Missing wireless MVP software CD

I just purchased a new wireless MVP through Frey. I'm sure it isn't their fault but the box didn't contain a Hauppauge software CD. Seems like you can't make the wireless interface on the MVP work without it. Anyone have any idea how I can obtain this software. I've already checked the Hauppauge download sites and have sent email pleas to both Frey and Hauppauge.

I don't think you need the CD to make it work. Just be sure to press the OK button when prompted the first time the unit boots up so you can configure the wireless connection.

What are you trying to do that requires the MVP CD?

When I plug in the MVP after it has been off for a while (the first time too) I get a screen that says something like "Boot failed; Use wired connection to recover". So I played around a bit and managed to get the Sage interface to work via the ethernet port. (See thread http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=18487)
Now as I understand it I need the Hauppage software to switch from wired mode to wireless mode. I've never seen any screen that would allow me to configure the wireless connection.

Alternatively I could have a broken unit. Hard to tell from where I sit.

I just received mail from Hauppauge support and they are telling me to just download the software for the standard MVP. Since this software predates the wireless version I guess I really don't need it to setup the wireless connection. Looks like I may have a bad unit.

Yea, you don't need the software to setup the wireless, its in the firmware. It wouldn't be able to load the software from the pc if the wireless wasn't configured yet.

Ah yes, I had the bad flash problem and had to use the Hauppauge software too. I forgot about that....

Anyway, kminder, if you need the CD PM me and I will email an image to you.

Tom

Since my MVP seems to be broken Hauppage has graciously agreed to cross ship me a new one. Hopefully this will solve all of my issues. Thanks everyone.
