Blank/Black GUI ??

For some reason when is I start up SageTV on my server the application pops up but I get no visible GUI! I get a blank/black box.. but I know there is something there becuase if I click on the full screen or sleep buttons (or where I THINK they would be, if I could see them), the application does what it should, in that it sleeps or maximizes...

Anybody have any idea how I can make the GUI visible again to me?

Thanks!

Is this on a new install, reinstall or did it just happen randomly?? What .stv are you using? You can always try a repair install.

There was another thread posted a couple days ago (black screen problem), so you could see if his solution works for you.

Also, are you using more than one display? Usually, if you are using VMR9, you can only see the display on the primary monitor.

Is this an ATI limitation? I've never had that problem with my nVidia video cards -- on a secondary monitor the 3D 'acceleration' may be emulated via software & won't be very accelerated, but the video should be visible. But, this would only affect videos & I think he means menus & all are not shown.

I think it can occur on any video card, even nVidia (that's what I have). I've seen it several times, including some other software that I guess uses 3D acceleration, like the ASUS utilities.
