Thanks for putting the time in and releasing this. Because of you we get an early full preview of an upcoming feature.

Here is my config.xml file. you need tomake sure you have the <TrailerDownload>True</TrailerDownload>
<TrailerFolder>D:\MovieTimes\Media\Trailers\</TrailerFolder>

Just wondering what the latest and greatest version of MTSA.exe is out there and what the most up to date site or source for MTSA.exe is? I've noticed that I'm seeing fewer of my local movie listing with trailers. And want to make sure I'm going to the right place for updates on the MTSA.exe file.

Thanks

Hey Nstocke,

4.9.1 is the latest. If you use my updater (http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...&postcount=398) then it will keep you up to date until Nephilim gets his autoupdater released. Just run the file before you run the mtsa program and it will download the updates when they come available.

Thanks. I've been using your updater but just wanted to make sure I did have the latest and greatest because a lot of the most recent movies located by MTSA haven't been downloading trailers. Thought maybe the trailer site may have changed something and maybe a new release of MTSA might have been released that I missed.

Has MTSA Stopped working

Has MTSA.exe stopped pulling down info for anyone else or is it just my system that stopped working? Looks like the last info it pulled was 6/19/2010 on some JPGs and 6/16/2010 for MOVs

MTSA

My movie listings stopped worked as well a few days ago. Theaters are listed in the config but none display when choosing view theaters or movies.
The trailers are still in the folder though. The log file seems ok too.

+1... thought I was going crazy. Everything seems like it's working, but it just isn't. Last successful backdrop download was on 6/20. Last successful poster download was on 6/19. Last successful trailer download was on 6/16.

My log looks identical to yours. I think this (from yours/same as mine) is the issue:

Code:

I tried checking on nephilim's website to see if there was an updated version (the webpage doesn't seem to update even when there is), but the download link doesn't work.

I don't know if nephilim visits SageTV any more and his home page is not useful for MTSA. For those interested in following the progress, nephilim is active on this forum (as recently as today) and says a release is forthcoming.

Hope this helps.

For your info nephilim has posted a beta update of his MediaPortal plugin. It includes a new release of the MTSA.exe file. It got things working for me. Link for the post with the beta file is here:

Downloaded it myself a couple days ago. MTSA is now 5.0.0. Fixed it for me as well.

Hi,

the latest version of MTSA has AutoUpdate.
Please make sure the MTSA folder has write rights in order to use the AutoUpdate

I have also added the ability to download Box Office and Coming Soon data, but you should update your Sage plugin in order to view them.

Let me know...

Bye,
Nephilim

Check the first post in this thread. This was only for Sage6 so it would need plenty of work for Sage7.

I guess I'm one of the die hard sageMC fans still uses this addon reguarly on all my sageTV clients. Besides this addon not being available for sageTV 7, my biggest issues with version 7 STV is menu navigation issues (no dynamic menus addon yet; which appears to be a much bigger task than redoing MovieTimes for sageTV 7.

Should I be able to play these trailers back on the HD-300? Because it doesn't work for me; I get a black screen. The client pc plays them back ok, but I'm trying to get rid of all pc clients.

I'm not familiar with the HD-300, but the movietimes program downloads the trailers from the apple site, so they are in .mov format. According to the HD 300 literature it should support .mov format. I'd suggest asking this on a HD 300 support thread.
