Jason,

That looks disturbingly like one of the now infamous missing/wrong version jar file problems. The screensaver just reuses the same calls as the movietimes plugin, so I'm not sure what is going on. I'll let you know if I come up with anything. BTW, I'm also running Java 6.

Strange. I checked the dates on the JAR files in the download, and they matched what I had in my JARs directory.

It's strange that the LOGO screensaver works just fine...

Yeah, Java 6 seems to have improved a lot on the older versions, at least, in speed. SageMC has been faster than I've seen it. I get my first MVP on Monday, can't wait! Now we'll be able to watch SageTV in our bedroom.

Exclamation Update v0.61b!

Fixed problem when re-importing screensaver code (0.61b).

Removed an empty Screensaver menu object that caused problems on 2nd import. If you have 0.61 or 0.61a, you will still need to load a fresh SageMC stv before this version or later, but then it should be ok after that.

Jason, what remote/reciever do you use? Does it cancel if you hit a key on the keyboard?

Harmony 880 (using some codes, I believe from the streamzap or hauppage remote), and a USB-UIRT.

Nope, if I use VNC, and hit keys on the keyboard, or try clicking with the mouse, nothing will get out of it. I have to end the task to get out.

Just found out, I'm using .18 of SageTV, if that matters?

Just installed .19, reinstalled the latest dev build of sagemc, and the latest 61b of the plugin, and still have the problem. No keyboard keys, mouse clicks, or remote presses will get out of it...very odd.

I just compared all the JAR files in the full sagemc download, with the ones currently in the JARs directory, and they all match on file size (exact file size).

It's probably some weird setting I'm using, that no one else is.

I think it's this one:

sagemc/disable_do_not_exit_screensaver_on_any_key = false

Just as an FYI-I was able to exit out of the MovieTimes screensaver using the left arrow from my Harmony 880 remote w/USB-UIRT since the original 0.61. There must be another setting affecting your setup.

me too. I use a DirecTivo command set on my 880 for Sage if it matters (cant think it would).

not sure if i should post here or the main thead but i just set this up and am having trouble loading the config file. I'm getting an error that says something like "can't load config file or it...." It gets cut off and i can't see what the other problem is. I can scroll to my C:\MovieTimes\config.xml and select it but it just won't load.
Any thoughts?
thanks
Juc

Sounds like a corrupt config file. Might want to use the default, and use a text editor to see what the differences are between that and your current one. (I use ExamDiff, it's free.)

thanks

FYI---I'm having the same issue with exiting the screensaver. No key presses will work. This is latest download importing from the base SageMC_169.xml .This is also on the MVP. I'll have time to fool around with it later and see if anything works.

I haven't forgotten about you Jason. I just haven't been able to come up with any ideas as to why this is happening. I know this doesn't address JUC's problem on the MVP, but is it possible that something else may be stealing focus when you put sage to sleep? Have you tried playing with changing the FSE setting? Then there is still the issue of those catbert errors in your log file. There is definitely something odd still going on there. Maybe we should ask Dirk if he has any ideas about that. Sorry I can't be more helpful. But I am hopeful that we'll somehow get to the bottom of this.

Aloha,
Mike

Thanks Mike! I'd love to use the MT screensaver, but just can't, for that reason.

Perhaps I need a fresh install of SageTV...again?! I try and do some testing this weekend, and see if I can come up with anything.

The strange thing is, that there doesn't seem to be anything steeling focus when the normal SS is activated, when I put sage to sleep...

Where are my theatres?

I'm building a new box, and loading it up fresh. I am trying to use the MovieTimes plugin and screensaver with SageMC and I'm having an issue.

Any time I want to select the config or locations file or the mtsa exe file, I get LOTS of these consecutive disk not found dialogs to cancel. It usually starts with the A: drive, than looks for a slew of drives starting a C. I have to cancel the search for A: and then the searches for between 3 and 6 hard drives and then it repeats - many times. Just now, trying to point it to the mtsa file, I had to clear at least 50 or 60 boxes (could have been 100, I'm being conservative!).

Any ideas??
