I also can't get back from the screensaver. I am using MVP and no key presses will return to main menu. I even tried the
sagemc/disable_do_not_exit_screensaver_on_any_key = false
but didn't seem to make any difference.

Looked good while running though. high WAF.

Wait, you weren't serious, were you?

Seriously, though, I have an idea. I'll work up a new screensaver and post a test version hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Aloha,
Mike

It usually starts with the A: drive, than looks for a slew of drives starting a C. I have to cancel the search for A: and then the searches for between 3 and 6 hard drives and then it repeats - many times. Just now, trying to point it to the mtsa file, I had to clear at least 50 or 60 boxes (could have been 100, I'm being conservative!).

Any ideas??
Might want to check for references in your properties file, to a drive that is not listed on your system as a hard drive. It's been a long time, but there was an issue a long time ago, that if a file location property contained a drive letter that was not a hard drive, that you would get very strange things happening...

Hi Guys,

I've made some significant changes to the screen saver under the hood. It is now completely housed within the original screen saver menu widget and now uses the core built-in listeners to exit. I'm hopeful that this will fix the exiting problems some have been seeing. The attached file is the latest v6.3.1 SageMC STV with Movietimes v0.61b already imported and modified with the new screensaver code. If you have been unable to exit the screensaver, please try this version and let me know how it works. If all is well, I'll ask Morgan to update the import with the new code. Thanks!

Aloha,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Just tested the update, and this works fine for my MVP.
Seems that any button press on the remote will return back to the menu.

Thanks
Chris

Sure, Mike. Any thoughts on what the problem was?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect when sage is actually put to sleep that none of the listeners are active. Sage probably only will respond to the core screensaver listener to wake up, which I wasn't using. Of course this is all conjecture. All I really did was sidestep the whole problem by moving everything into the screen saver menu widget.

Aloha,
Mike

Exclamation New MovieTimes Import

New Update!

This should help those of you that had problems breaking out of the screensaver.

v0.62 - 1/25/2007
  • Take care of issues causing slow import of file.
  • Merged in MeInMaui's reorganized screensaver. Should now be able to reliably cancel screensaver operation.

Trouble with Trailer Aspect Ratio

It seems that when I play back the widescreen trailers on my MVP in SageMC the apect ratio is not being filled correctly and the display is show like a bad scan and pan TV movie on my 4:3 screen. I expect I should see letter box bars like I do with Google trailers.

I have my SageTV setting to source but making any change to 4:3 or 16:9 have no effect.

Any thoughts?

Has anyone else lost the genres and plot summaries in the Movie Times plugin in the last few days? I'm not sure if I inadvertantly messed up something or if the website(s) the data is scraped from have changed. Thanks.

Aloha,
Mike

Hmmmm, yes that looks like a problem. Something must have changed in the last week. I'll run that by the Key Master to see if he know about that problem.

Thanks Morgan.

FYI, I have lost all data now. I just get the cover art.

Aloha,
Mike

Is this plug in working yet? Although ths sn't my area of technology, I am an engineer and haven't been able to get a single plug-in working with the latest version of SageTV MC. I've put in over ten hours trying to get the DVD burner and Movie Times working. I see there have been problems. Are these plug-ins incompatible with the current version?

I had an update from the KeyMaster. He has been working on the MTSA program but has been busy. He thinks it may be a week before he has an update to release.

Hmmm. I just saw your message. I actually haven't installed the latest SageMC yet but I can probably get around to it tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find.
