Any Way To Make This Work?

I currently have SageTV set up, and want to use it to change the channel on my TV. My TV is using a CableCard, and my lovely cable company chooses not to include any guide information for CableCards.

So, I'd like to set up a source, define the digital and HD channels as enabled in that guide (would be different from "main" guide for my tuners). When I select a channel for this source, I want to send a signal to my TV to change to the appropriate input, and send the channel number as well.

I've seen the "Faker" source in this thread, and thought about using it, since I don't actually want SageTV to record anything, just change the channel.

So, can I do this?

Alternatively, my plan is to go ahead and have the guide information there, assigned to the Faker source, just so I can see what's on those channels. However, I'd like to get the channel changing working if possible.
