reinstalled SageTV doesn't like license key

I was having some problems with SageTV 6.0. I had been out of town (at CES) last week and after returning SageTV wouldn't render any video. I decided to reinstall the software to get it working again. Now it is working. However, it will no longer accept my license key.

Do I need to get a new license key?

If you bought a v6 uprade key, then for a complete reinstallation, you would have to enter your old license first, then enter your upgrade license whe it asks for it.

I was a first time buyer, so the v6 license is the only one I have.

I'm having a similar problem entering my placeshifter key.

Except this is the first time I'm entering it.

I sent an email to support@sagetv.com on Friday, but no response yet

Placeshifter license keys are handled differently than regular licenses. Most likely your Placeshifter answer is in this thread.

I would go through tech support for license issues, but I should add to my above comment that if all you did was uninstall & reinstall the software on the same PC, the license should still be in the system. What exactly is happening?

You can try the REGISTER command line parameter & enter the key in the dialog after that.
