PVR 250 cannot tune above channel 13 on cable

Hi

PVR 250 card
Sage TV v5
Attached to cable line via antenna on PVR250

The PVR250 is set up and works but can only tune channels 2-13. If I switch the cable line to tuner on my LCD TV (viewsonic) it tunes channels up to 99

I've triple checked all the settings and I'm stumped.

Is there a known problem with the tuner on this card? Does my Viewsonic monitor have some kind of tuning the PVR250 doesn't?

What card can I pick up cheap that will tune basic analog cable channels up to 99?

On the Source Details screen for that tuner, is it set to Cable or Antenna? It should be Cable.

It's set to cable, I'm 99% sure the settings are all correct.

What could be difference between sage + pvr250 and tuner in my Viewsonic LCDTV ... ?

For sake of anyone else finding this thread ... latest drivers and middleware for the pvr250 solved the problem.

I have the same problem. Messing with the Cable, Antenna settings fixed it for a short time but now it's back. I have tried two different USB capture devices (Plextor ConvertX, and WinTV-PVR) with the same problem. I downloaded the newest software and still have the problem. I tried the 'BeyondTV' trial and have not seen the problem. I really don't want to buy another chunk of software to get around this.

Mine's still working fine. I didn't buy any extra software just downloaded the whole driver update and utilities updates from haupage site

do you have a TV or VCR, do these devices tune full complement of channels clearly?

if mythTV works and tunes all channels then perhaps a re-install of sage will help

I have the same problem as the first poster, with an PVR-500. I have updated the hauppauge drivers and nothing. cable selected.. can't tune above 13.. just snow covered non-goodness. any suggestions? I am on version 4.12

so i see that sage has a problem auto-tuning with cable providers.. a ton of posts out there recommending freqshift program and the microsoft tables. what a PITA.

Have you got more than 13 channels in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS0-1
