Happy to start but don't want to buy the wrong hardware.

Can anyone who is using DVB-S to access SKY in the UK please post what cards they are using.

I have a Technotrend TT-S3200 with CI module and it works.

The TT-1500 with CI module should also work.

Another user is using a FireDTV DVB-S box and it also works.

You also need a Dragon/T-Rex 4.1 or 4.6 CAM.

Not had a great deal of success so far, with exactly the same hardware as you. Would you mind checking the driver versions your using in the TT card and also the predator version loaded to the T.Rex?

Mark,

I am using Predator 3.56.

For the TT card I am using the latest beta drivers...

http://technotrend-online.com/downlo...0.0.2_BETA.zip

I never had any different behaviour with the older drivers anyway.

Also check the version of your ttBDAdrvapi_dll.dll file in your SageTV directory. (The View-Tiles sorting in Windows Explorer shows the versions). It should be 1.0.0.4. Other versions don't work.

I have also turned off the capture epg info from the DVB-S signal.

by setting the following in sage.properties.
disable_data_scanning=true

With the above set to false, I was getting a lot of problems tuning channels after an hour or so. The channel would tune but there would be a blank picture (actually the data stream from the driver was corrupted). The only way to get it back would be to stop and start SageTV. With disabled data scanning, I 've been running for days on end without problems. Also, as soon as I start SageTV I tune a FTA channel like Sky News before trying to tune other encrypted channels.

What sort of problems are you having?

And one last thing..... Every 4-6 weeks we have to put the Sky sub card in the digibox overnight to refresh its keys. When they expire, you can't open any encrypted channels. It happened to me last weekend.
