Sage Recordings appear in Imported Videos

Very odd this - not seen anything like this before.

Since this morning about half of my recorded tv collection cannot be seen in the recorded TV section of Sage. Instead, it appears in the Imported Videos section with the filename used for the programs' titles.

What I'd like to do is 'repair' these so they appear correctly in Sage Recordings. Is it possible to do this?

Do the filenames have -1 at the end?

I get this occasionally... I've noticed that the files are like the 2nd file, but the first (-0) is missing... Don't know why this is happening though.
I tried renaming the file to -0, but that did not seem to do it...

edit---
After waiting a few more minutes, it does seem to have worked.

This has happened to me a few times as well. I always thought it was because I rebooted the computer in the middle of a recording or something. I'll have to try your fix the next time it happens. Thanks for the tip!

I get this too. Tried to clear it up by changing my import directories and now I find my Imported video section (mapped to a folder on another PC) completely refuses to work....

Did the system reboot while SageTV was still running? Perhaps wiz.bin got corrupted in such a process & reverted to its backup version. If there is a debug log from the time this happened, it might provide some info on what happened.

Are you using service mode? If so, services can't access mapped drive letters. You can use UNC paths, though... provided the service logs in as a user w/a password.

I think this is what happened in my case. Is there any way now of getting the affected recordings back into the Sage recording section. I don't have very many and I don't mind SQL'ing the DB if this is possible.

If the show info is missing in wiz.bin, there isn't an easy way to restore it unless you have a recent backup copy of wiz.bin that has the info. If wiz.bin got totally replaced, see how old a backup you have in your SageTV dir from your last upgrade intallation.

Do you do backups on your own? If you aren't already doing regular backups of your data files, check out this forum's sticky about utilities for SageTV -- I think there are a couple links to SageTV-specific backup topics.

I think you can add info via Niel's web server, so you could check that out too.

That did it for me. I recently switched to service mode and didn't change the login on the service. Changed the account on the service and it now accesses the files fine.
