Is Vbox Cat’s Eye 164e PCI-e dual tuner supported?

Is the Vbox Cat’s Eye 164e PCI-e dual tuner supported in the new version of SageTV? I would like to purchase one, but was hesitant because it is not officially listed.

Thanks,

Dennis

I can't say for certain but can say that it *should*.
For example, I'm certain there are some on here that have the vBox DTA-150 card working without issue and it isn't listed. So I think that the vBox 164e falls under "Most other BDA based ATSC cards..".
Buy it and let us know!

Well, I got my answer from SageTV Support:

"Unfortunately, that capture device is not supported. Here is a list of currently supported capture cards. http://www.sage.tv/requirements.html"

Bummer. The bad part is that I was a little impulsive and purchased the card already.

Huh. This guy seems to think it works. May not be supported per se but it works.

This is often the case. My ATI 650pro tuner cards are not officially "supported" but do work. If you already purchased the card you should certainly give it a go.

Got the new server up and going. SageTV had no problems with the Vbox 164e. I recorded and watched several of my shows tonight without any problems.

Awesome. But the question on everyone's mind is "How does it look?"

Looks great! It looks every bit as good or better as my HD cable DVR and my previous HD tuner cards (which were also Vbox cards) So far, so good.
