SageTV Service problem after migration
I just migrated my SageTV Server to a new faster machine and having a problem that I think is due to the migration. If I start up the Gui by itself, then everything works great, but the service won't start. If I shut down the Gui and run the service, Sage brings up the gui and wants me to go through the complete setup. It also doesn't see the tuners added or any of the settings including the video directories. Any ideas?

Are you running Vista? If so, check your firewall settings and when running SageTV, right click on it and choose run as Administrator.

If not using Vista, are you using McAfee?

I am not running McAfee or Vista. I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2. I am also logged on as an administrator.

I went ahead and shut down the gui, then went completely through the setup. I was then able to start the service, then the gui. All is well.
