Timeline changes

At first I thought my problem was like another issue, but now I think it is something different.

The timeline seems to change on me for HD recordings. I typically notice it when I come to a commercial and I try to skip forward 10 sec, it seems to end up before the point I was at and then works normally. It also seems to be worse the longer the show has been playing without a rewind or fast forward.

To try to figure it out more, I've found out the following:

Using last night's CSI Miami, recording over the air in high def. I looked at when the first commercial starts. When I first play the show, the first commerical comes on at 5 min 24 seconds. Then, when I rewind to watch the same scene over again, it occurs at 5 min 17 seconds. After this initial rewind, it always occurs at 5 min 17 seconds. My guess is that the longer the show has played, the large this discrepancy will be, but I have not had time to test that yet...

I'm running in FSE, 1080p, AMD3200, 7600GT, SATA RAID array, VMR9, nvidia video decoder in smart mode...

There have been timeline issues since v3.x They're intermittent and get blamed on either Sage or the tuner in question. As of right now, ABC-HD from an HDHR gives me occasional trouble...either the condition you describe, or a freeze when coming out of a local SD commercial. The end of the file seems to be the problematic part. For the first time since v3/4 I had an SD, PVR500 recorded show mess up with 6.1.8. The Maylasian Formula 1 race showed me 2 laps remaining after skipping past a commercial 15 minutes into the race...that was a downer. The Hauppauge problems used to be blamed on the drivers and a reg entry was suggested. My drivers are the latest and I haven't seen this problem since v4 (Hockey Games were bad). So....
