Firefly remote

Can Sage use a firefly remote? If so how do I make it see the remote?

I use it with Girder, with the no-focus sendmessage.exe method. Girder has a firefly plugin and works great. Its not free though, used to cost me $20 for version 3.x, now its $50 for v4.x. You can also try HIP, its free. I'm not sure if it supports the firefly remote though.

If you download EventGhost and then PM me I will send you an XML file preconfigured for SageTV and the FireFly.

It too uses sendmessages so SageTV doesn't need to have focus for this to work well.

Actually, for me it worked out of the box, I think I had set Sage to MCE remote or something, don't use it anymore though.

Is event ghost + firefly all you need to get the Firefly remote working? Seems like the easiest way if so. I found a Firefly on ebay for $30. When it gets here I'll try it out! Do I need your XML file?

Firefly works with Sage, but at times may give some problems. Try this software ( http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4/22/60/article.asp ), which is free and fixed all the problems I had.
