MediaMVP Stuck On "Starting Up"

I just received my MediaMVP from Sage today, I installed the license, activated the server, hooked up the cables and powered it on. I went through the setup to choose my server, it moved on, and now is just sitting at "SageTV Media Extender is Starting Up....". So I upgraded SageTV from 6.0.19.120 to 6.1.9.143, same issue but the logo on the MVP changed, so I know it is seeing the server, but the MVP will not come online. Did I miss a step somewhere?

You can test the MVP by running the software that came with the MVP instead of using SageTV. If the included software works, then make sure that your ports are opened up in your router between the SageTV computer and MVP. I found that the MVP did work intermittantly without opening all the ports, but opening the ports made a reliable connection.

If none of that works, you might have a bad unit. I had that type of problem that was initially intermittant for a couple of days, then got stuck on starting up, without actually finishing the starting process. I ended up returning the MVP and getting a replacement MVP to fix that problem.

Dave, I think you may be right, I loaded the software that came with it, and the MVP hangs on "Starting Application". Thanks for the suggestion.
