Hauppage WIN-TV PVR USB2 IR Blaster Problem

I am totally at my wits end. I have an old RCA DRD435RH Directv receiver and none of the codes that come with the IR Blaster with this Hauppage PVR will work with my reciever. The PRV is basically useless unless I figure out a way to get it to change the channels of my satellite reciever. Any and all suggestion (other than the sledgehammer technique) would be appreciated.

If the Hauppauge IR blaster doesn't work, then you could check with Hauppauge about adding that support or look into alternatives, including perhaps controlling the box via serial cable or via the USB-UIRT as the IR blaster.

If you can use serial control, that would probably be more reliable than IR.
