Recorded on the wrong channel

I had a weird recording glitch tonight - the first time SageTV has ever misbehaved for me. I'm wondering if there is anything I can look at on the server to figure out what happened.

Basically I have the local HD channels from my HDHomeRun mapped to the same channel name as the SD version that comes in on the analog cable. In the .properties file I then set the merit of the HDHomerun encoder higher than the merit of the PVR500. This has worked flawlessly for me for the last 4 months. When I tune to channel 5, I get the HDHomeRun version (NBC HD) if one of those tuners is available.

Tonight I recorded an episode of Jericho on CBS. For some reason it was recorded off of the PVR500 instead of the HDHomerun. Is there anything I can look at as far as log files go to figure out what happened?

The only thing I can think of is MAYBE both clients where left on and tuned to an HDHomerun channel, making neither of the HDHOmerun tuners available. But I don't think that is what happened. When my wife turned on the client it was tuned to SciFi on the PVR500.......

Any clues?

Sorry for the off topic question. How did you map the HDHomeRun channels as you described? If I can set up my system as you describe, I think that my encoder merit problems will be fixed.

I haven't messed with any of the tuner merits on my server. The only time my HDHR doesn't get picked for a recording automatically is if the EPG data doesn't show that the program is actually in HD. If that is the case it will record it from one of the SD channels. I'm not sure if this is what has happened here though.
