Multiple Clients

Greetings,

I have a question I havent seen answered anywhere so I thought I would ask.

I have a sagetv server running nothing but the sagetv service, it has the Nvidia dual tuner card, the controllers for the DTV serial control etc.

The video is actually stored to a network share on my W2K3 server and all is working well.

I have a wired MVP client, and in addition I have a Windows Client.

The question is this, say I am watching something on my windows client, the wife turns on the MVP and starts watching a program, say 10-15 minutes into watching our programs, the server has to record a scheduled program.

Who will get the notification that the server needs to record?

Also can this be changed?

Any help is appreciated.

Both and I dunno.

PS. Buy enough tuners to have 1 per client and a spare for the schedule. You will rarely if ever have a problem.

Just a guess, but SageTV can tell you which tuner is slotted to record a show. The webserver shows this info. So, the first person on will get the available tuner and the second will get the scheduled one. The second should also receive the message, but I can't confirm this. JAG
