Something driving dvarchive nuts?

I am maintaining my Replaytv/Dvarchive setup until I know for sure Sage is gonna fly. My main dvarchive install has been having memory issues for about a week now, due to filling with errors like this, about ten a second:

0/16 00:17:59 REPLAY_SERVER:: Received unknown HTTP request type via URL of [OPTIONS / HTTP/1.1] from client 192.168.1.99 -- ignored

192.168.1.99 is my sageserver's static ip, and dvarchive is on another box that has placeshifter, but this seems to occur with or without placeshifter running. I have changed dvarchive's webserver port to 9090, and even shut it off, but it keeps picking up these http requests until it gets so bogged down it crashes.

If I uncheck javaw.exe in windows firewall exceptions list, it goes away of course, but then so does the purpose of dva.

anybody else see this?
