6.2 TV Guide Colors

Does anyone know how can I change the colors in the TV Guide back to 6.1 version?

The 6.2 colors for movies for example is a dark/blue violet where is used to be a solid Violet color for movies and it was easy to see.

With 6.2, most/all of the colors for movies/sports/news are some kind of a blue shade and with a blue Sage background, it just dosent cut shinola.

Any easy way to revert back to the original 6.1 (or before) colors for Movie Guide browsing?

Ok, found it:

It is in Setup -> Help -> Interface Guide -> View TV Airing Category Colors.

Any way to get the original colors from 6.1 and before back? Custom colors are all hard to see in 6.2.

You can have any color you want by clicking the Custom Color button and choosing from the color picker dialog. All possible colors are available from that dialog.

If that doesn't suit, you can also edit these property lines directly:

ui/category_bg_colors/Movie=0xD154B2
ui/category_bg_colors/News=0x999900
ui/category_bg_colors/Sports\ event=0x1F943C
ui/category_bg_colors/Sports\ non-event=0x1F943C
ui/category_bg_colors/Sports\ talk=0x1F943C

If your problem is not with the colors themselves but with their transparency, edit these lines in Theme.properties:

Alpha/GuideAiringBGCurrent=80
Alpha/GuideAiringBGPast=60

Also, since you keep complaining about how hard things are to see against the blue background, you might consider changing the background image to something else.

Thanks Greg. The background transperancy number did the trick for me.
