TimeStretch option is the ONLY thing missing

Timestretching

MythTV version 0.17 introduced timestretching, which allows you to accelerate or decelerate playback without changing the pitch (i.e. without the chipmunk effect). It's especially good for watching talks, lectures, or History Channel-type shows. You'll note some slight sound distortion with music, but for most shows it's not distracting.

The following URL points to the ONLY feature that I miss about MythTV when I moved to SageTV. Timestretch is a feature that will allow multiple speed playback of recorded tv and video from .5 to 2x the original speed. up to about 1.3 speed its not very noticeable but very useful to rip thru some TV in a short time.

Any thought? can we do this?

That would be pretty cool, IMO.

I agree. Not only can we skip commercials and watch an hour long program in 45 mins but then watch in 35 mins with it in overdrive! (Give or take a few minutes)

Any news on the new plug-in where we attach the cable right into our temple to download all the new programming?

Or you can do it yourself by filing a support request.
