common drivers for pvr-350 & 500?

Help!
Had pvr-500
Now need to add old pvr-350 for it's a/v input to cable STB.
I thought same drivers for pvr250-500???
If I remove everything for both,
what drivers do I install now?
(pvr-500 drivers install looks like it installs TOO much)

Thanks,
Ray

The hauppauge website shows different drivers for the 350 and 500.

I'd download the 350 drivers from

http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/sup...iversonly.html

and then run hcwdriverinstall.exe from the extracted folder.

It should hopefully leave your 500 drivers alone.

Thats my guess......

It's the PVR-150 & 500 or PVR-250 & 350 that have the same driver. US Hauppauge download site

I just got hold of hauppauge support and they suggested:

http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/softw...s/hcwclear.exe
run first to delete all hauppauge drivers

then download
WinTV-PVR Media Center driver CD version 3.2
http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/softw...mce_cd_v32.zip

then after unzipping run:
HcwDriverInstall.exe

it installs almost any driver for any tuner for SageTV.
That was easy.

Thanks,
Ray

can't learn ir codes in SageTV setup fast enough.
It times out before I can send the ir button.
Is there any easier way of learning ir codes?
Thanks,
Ray

Well, of course it was easy... you downloaded an entire CD! Easy is too good for us. Where's the challenge? The adventure? The character building learning experience? That 'thing' that defines who we are and ultimately pushes us over the edge until we snap?

OK, just download the install CD. You probably did the right thing.

If you are using a usbuirt you can use lrnhelper.exe to catch the codes.

Its included in the sky.zip file thats in this thread.

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27278

You can then cut and paste the codes into the .ir file that you have for your remote.

If you're not using the usbuirt, then I don't know if this will work or not.

THEN I deleted the entire folder.
Guess I should actually make a CD for future.
:-)

Thanks,
Ray
