You should be able to get a HDMI>DVI converter. You'll lose the digital sound from the HDMI but the video would passthrough. The question would now be, are the other sound outputs active if the HDMI output is active?

I see this in the FAQ, looks to be talking about video, not sure about the audio.

Q: Can multiple outputs be used on the STX-HD100 at the same time?

A: Sometimes.

In 480i mode; component, S-Video and composite are all active. But, simultaneous output may not be active for higher resolutions.

When HDMI is in use; only HDMI can be used (there are exceptions to this; but it depends upon the timing information supported by the HDMI display).
There are HDMI>DVI splitters that will also output audio but they are $$$, IIRC.

Should be possible with an adapter.

In this review:

There are some screen images that make it look like you can select which output you want to use for both audio and video. Can anyone confirm that you could choose, for instance, to output video through HDMI and audio using the RCA jacks?

I am using a HDMI->DVI cable right now and having some issues that I am trying to work out. The main one is that in 720p (native for the Panasonic 50LC13), there is a region of the screen where it looks like the colors are out of sync. In 480p, the colors are correct, but the image is not very sharp. I will post again if/when I figure out a solution. I am planning to connect it to the audio by the optical connection and will let you know if that is working. Right now it is connected with the RCA audio directly to the television bypassing the receiver while I test connections. I can confirm that the RCA audio and HDMI video are both active at the same time for at least some content.

I'm trying to connect an HD200 to a Dell 19 inch monitor using an HDMI to DVI adapter.

I see the SageTV logo appear but then the screen clears and nothing happens.

Eventually the HD200 appears to turn itself off.

Has anyone got any tip to get this combination going.

Michael

I'm running a HD200 using a HDMI to DVI converter with the audio going through the RCA jacks. You may need to boot into standalone mode and go to Settings then Advanced Settings and under Multimedia set Force HDMI Display Mode to enable. Also check and make sure you only have the videos modes that your TV can accept enabled. For example if your display can't handle 1080p don't have it enabled in the video section of standalone mode.

I can't even get it to boot to standalone. Just SageTV icon then nothing.

The device was previously configured for HD on a TV via HDMI.

Perhaps I need to take it back there to reconfigure.

So I tried taking the HD200 back to my HD TV

I changed the settings to 576p and red/white audio jacks

I didn't see any save settings button so after going back to main menu I turned it off and took it back to the PC monitor to connect via DVI

I still get the same problem.

SageTV logo and then nothing.

I think HD200's need a "safe mode"
