SUGGESTION: Tuner specific overscan
I notice that my tuners have different problems with displaying black areas on either side of the display and being off centered.
Is it possible to do this currently or with some customizations?

You could adjust one of the aspect ratios for use with a specific tuner, and then use nielm's auto-aspect ratio switcher, http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14146 , to automate switching of the aspect ratios.
