Need some help with a few questions...and I love the new HD extender

First off..I bought 2 extenders and both set up great and audio and picture quality is outstanding..I love this product..Thanks Sage...

Now, I need some help or comments on a few things...

1) Now that I have extenders on all my TV's, I no longer need Sage open on my server. I think this means I can close sage and enable the Sage service - True? and what do I gain or lose by doing that?

2) Online videos - I have found that my "audio only" podcasts don't seem to give me audio when I load them in the online video sections. Everything is loaded properly in the online video files. The URL's are correct. When I go to online videos and look under the appropriate heading, I find the icons for the podcast. When I click on the podcast icon, the individual podcasts that are available all come up just perfectly. I click on the podcast I want to listen to and it buffers, then the screen goes blank. It is definately trying to play it, since the light on the front of the extender is furiously blinking. But, no sound. I press stop and it stops as a normal file would and goes back to the menu. I know I can use the RSS newfeed plugin, but would rather use the online videos, since all audio and video would be in one place...

any ideas how to make this owrk?

3) PC games....when I used Sage on my server, I could input an external command to run a game on the server and play with sage in the background. This doesn't look possible with the extender. Although I did notice that the game is playing on my server, just not available through the extender...

Thanks for the comments,

Gary Ellis

1) you are correct. I do both (Sage Service and leave it running on the server). Why? If Sage crashes, I like how it restarts itself. I also like being able to quickly pull up Sage and make program schedule changes, etc.

2) no idea

3) correct - this is not a PC extender... it's only extending Sage. It's pulling the video files on the server PC over the network and playing them on the local TV. That's it. It's not a PC...

hope that helps
