Help..how do I reset back to start

I have the new hd extender,,,,I used it for a few days with an Svideo and composite audio while waiting for my HDMI cable...everything was fine..So, today I got very good quality HDMI cable and turned off the extender and installed the cable to the TV. When I turned on the extender, I went to settings on the start menu and changed from Svideo and composite audio to HDMI. However, through HDMI to the TV, all I get is a fullscreen of green. I've rebooted several times and the same..but now because I set it to HDMI, i can't get back to settings via svideo, since the extender has everything set for HDMI...all is green....and no sage menus...

So, first how do I reset this thing, so I can get back to the settings and change back to Svideo, until I figure out what's wrong with the HDMI.

Hopefully I just need to change or erase something in the sageTV folder..

Thanks,

Gary Ellis

Send a message via ICQ to _Demo_
Turn off the unit with the switch on the back then hold the Menu and Up button on the front panel while you turn the switch back on.

Or put it to sleep, wait a few seconds, and then hit HOME on the remote

thanks...it worked and I installed component instead of HDMI and it works just fine..

Disappointed though that HDMI gives me a green screen...I bought a very high end HDMI cable...so not sure what's wrong...I'll do what somebody said and buy a few different HDMI cables from places that let me return them ...thus, testing several until I find one that works..

Thanks again for the help,

Gary Ellis

HDMI cables should not be that sensitive from getting those 101010's over. What lenth are you using?

Edit: Oh-yeah.. You did the f/w upgrade right?

Gary, you shouldn't ever spend more than $25 for an HDMI cable. $10 is a more appropriate price. I use cheap $15 Link Depot cables from Frys with no issues on 1080p. The expensive ones are all marketing on folks that don't know any better. Whether the cable works or not on the extender seems to be a problem with the extender, not the HDMI cable quality.

See Monoprice.com for your cables.
