Firmware Updates Subscription

Can we get a subscription thread to notify us when new firmware updates for the HD Extender are available? This way, I can get email notifications when new firmware is out, so I know when to check for it.

Also, maybe a change log for each firmware. So how about it, Andy/Opus4?

I'll go ahead and throw in a third request in for this. Especially for the change log!

Add one for me

I see there's a new firmware available, but I'm not touching it with a 10 foot pole until I see a change log - it's working OK as long as I'm careful about which files I play (it gets real unhappy with some of my DIVX encoded files) - I'm not interested in playing with fire unless that specific issue is addressed.

+1 plus on the same not I would really love to see Sage having a public issue database (bugzilla, jira, etc.) where one can see all the issues reported to sage and track their resolution.

Something very odd is going on with this. It is very unlike Sage to not post lots of details about what has been changed. Hum, shall we start a conspiracy theory thread?.... I think either:

1. Aliens from Redmond or Cupertino (heck, maybe even Armonk) have stolen the bodies of Sage management and developers and are tryinig to kill the HD extender before it gets too popular.

2. Sage is using the firmware updates to make the HD extender display subliminal messages to influence viewing habits. This is being funded by the studios for various nefarious reasons mostly to do with DRM. The people whose extenders are suddenly turning off are actually unaware that the subliminal messages are putting them in a slight trance which causes them to accidentally press the power off button.

Sadly, my forum ideas seems to be ignored.

Revision history

I searched for HD100 Revision History and got "sorry no results"

so I thought to write that into this thread! for searchers like me!

+1 on All the above!

current Revision I know about 12/10, 12/21 & now 12/26.

I did them all Don't know what the fixes were, but keeping up-to date anyway.

sage programmers, probably don't want us (Guinea pig) to know what drugs they are testing on us. just kiddin....

but it looks like they are working on it, 12/21-12/26 (5 days) probably had to fix a fix.

This community, despite the hole drilling elements, most of us have been your best testers, so a change log(when you guys feel more comfortable) will help the cause along. Reliable posters will help you guage progress.
I've been a sage user off and on since V1.4. I need to upgrade my Signature, but I have all the options. If it would help along the progress maybe a test group would be ideal. I'm not volunteering, just thought those who have been dedicated posters/testers have real world knowledge that would help.

Change log is what I like about your products, please keep that in mind.

Thanks Demo ... very much appreciated !!!!

I guess the "video level" fix was aimed at the green speckles at 1080p ? If so, nice to see they are working on it, but no success yet. Since I'm one of the guys with the issue I'm open to try anything you want me to I love being a guinea pig !!!

Thanks again for the post !!

Thanks Demo as well. You guys are awesome taking time over the holidays to respond so quickly to issues encountered by your users. I know documentation is usually not very high on priority list for developers especially when they are trying to get the work done and it is totally up to Sage how it communicates with its users and how much it reveals about its internal organization, but I would still want to suggest a official public issue database (even if read only for sage users) where anybody can just take a look at what is being done rather than guessing and hoping.
