Bialio -

Its things like this that draw me to SageTV.... you just can't get this kind of customization in the product from Redmond.

Thanks - although I can't take too much credit. I totally copied the idea from a very similar guide that is on Verizon's FIOS HD PVR STB.

How's that for a string of acronyms!

I hate to draw comparisons but since we are talking about other products...

With the newer versions of Sage on the way are things like MediaPortal's Xface skin coming this way as well? ( http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/xf....html?p=171071 )

The "on the fly" rendered reflections...

Advanced Mini Guide (AMG) STVi

After some very helpful tips from "Hawaiian Mike" and Dirk, I've got the STVi pretty much figured out. It will require the next version of SageMC (6.3.7) - so once that becomes available be on the lookout for the SageMC AMG thread for download details etc.

Wow That really is gorgeous. So how does one go about porting a Media Portal theme to SageMC????

so I see the sage 6.3.7 is available in Beta, does that mean this will be available soon, or will it not be available until the actual release?

I think he means the next version of SageMC not the regular Sage 6.3.7.

Yeah i figure that, but with the new RC, doesn't that mean sagemc should be coming out pretty soon too? I'm kind of new to this, so I'm not sure if sagemc takes a while to get an official update, or if the users who are developing it actually have been working on getting it released near the same time??

There's not always a correlation between Sage and Sagemc. Within reason the previous version of SageMC works with newer versions of Sage. Besides, the developers of SageMC don't work for Sage and don't generally update for beta or RC versions of Sage.

I dont think SageMC bears any relation to the default STV updates and are released as and when they are ready. So it could come out today or next month or even when Sage 6.4.0 is released, but I'm hoping (on knees praying) it will be released sooner rather than later as this seems to be the most intresting update we have had in a while.

I seem to be addicted to refreshing this thread every hour or so, waiting for some news as to when it will be released

It is very interesting.

I'm not sure when it will be released, but the version numbers of SageMC are tracking pretty well to the base version of Sage now. In large part I think this is because of how the "Detailed Setup" is handled - newer releases of SageMC actually use the detailed setup screens directly from the default STV.*

* more or less

More tweaking is required.
