Shipping Costs

I am trying to price some things, and I find it frustrating that Sage doesn't show their shipping charges up front. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like you have to input a lot of info before being told what the charges will be.

If you post shipping charges for various items here, that will help me, and might help others. Thanks.

I can definitely understand that. I really like those websites that let you put in your zipcode for shipping options and pricing before you have to go through checkout.

I have gone to websites that act the same way by hiding the shipping costs in the middle of check out. Many times, I won't even buy from them if I can't see the shipping costs up front, or else, if I really want to know what it costs, I'll start the checkout procedure with a fake name and address, just to see the shipping costs.

I agree. If the shipping costs aren't posted up front "generally" the costs are going to be expensive and I move on to the next site. My thinking is - If they hide shipping costs what else are they hiding?

I'm thinking it's probably because most sales were ESD and so no shipping was needed.

My original SageTV purchase was this:

http://store.sagetv.com/Merchant2/me...tegory_Code=SB

(except it was the analog-only tuner)

and the shipping was $9.

I've since changed my hardware configuration and purchased the tuners elsewhere.

Thanks for the info. On another subject, I thought Sage sold the HDHomeRun, but it looks like they don't.

But, cyberestore does and they have free shipping as well as a splitter kit included:

FWIW, I have no affiliation with cyberestore, but I just ordered an HDHR from them last Wednesday and it's scheduled to show up on my doorstep tomorrow.
