Broadcast EPG data overriding xmltv source

I'm using an xmltv plugin to access my icetv guide source and I've noticed that for one channel in particular, the xmltv guide data seems to get overriden by the broadcast epg data which only comes in the for following few hours.

What's frustrating about this is:
1) the broadcast data is sometimes incorrect
2) the broadcast data is all in capitals, so my favourites don't work

Does anyone know, is this a SageTV feature or is something wrong in my channel setup? If it's a feature is there an option to turn it off - I just want the xmltv sourced data.

Thanks a lot
Mick

This is pinched from one of Stephane's comments, I couldn't find a way to link to the exact entry on page 24 of his importer thread

I don't know if it will work but it looks worth a try.

You'll have to :

* shut down SageTV completely
* open the sage.properties file (in the SageTV program files directory)
* find any line with epg_data_sources/XXXXX/disable_data_scanning=false
and change it to true : disable_data_scanning=true (there is normally one line per tuner, so disable the data scanning for the tuner you want it to be disabled)

This will prevent SageTV from retreiving the EPG in the data stream.
