Question record a channel 24/7 by default

Is there a setting I can put in the sage.properties files or a plugin that will allow me to record a channel 24/7 by default?

I need to keep the recordings for 2 weeks.

Thanks

Not sure, but maybe try the mmc/encoders/<###>/never_stop_encoding=true property and make sure the 'delete live TV files when not using IR' setting is off.

Question

Would it be possible to get the tuner that records 24/7 to record to a different directory location than the other tuners?

hmmm... there is a mmc/encoders/<###>/forced_video_storage_path_prefix property that can be used to define where a tuner can store its recordings, but that doesn't prevent the other tuners from using that location. Depending on how the recording dirs are set up, maybe the others could be set to use only other locations.

See this post for some info and the link in a couple posts down from there for more comments on that property.

Smile

That worked too.

Added mmc/encoders/<###>/forced_video_storage_path_prefix=D\:\\TVBuffer\\channelname

for each encoder card in the pc. All is working.

Thankyou

Anne
