How to use DVB-T EPG data (non-US)

I could not see how to simply set up the system to gather EPG data from the DVB-T transport if I don't live in the US/Canada.

Is this not possible? Another thread:

seems to imply that it is.

I am using the XMLTV importer from LMgestion, and that is working fine, but it seems to me that getting the data directly "from the source" is a better solution?

Over Christmas I did try the DVB-T EPG on version 6.3.5 (approx) using a Nova T 500 card.

It did work, but didnt pick up the guide very well. Some channels never got filled in at all and many of the channels had large gaps in the schedule.

After two days radio times started their XMLTV feeds again so I went back to that.

I dont recall any mentions of fixes in the release information posted on this forum, but it might be worth another try as it might have changed in more recent versions.
