HD Extender - No Audio After Firmware 20080204 0 Update
I got my second batch HD Extender yesterday, ran it through HDMI to the TV for both video (1080P) and sound. Everything was working. I did an update to Firmware 20080204 0, and now audio is lost on all recorded shows. I haven't done much testing to see if audio works in analog out puts, but will do so later when I have time.
I'm using SageTV 6.3.9, will upgrade to 6.3.10 soon.

it is set to HDMI for audio of course. But you're right, it did changed somewhere back in the late december or early january firmware.

Yes-it needs to be set to S/PDIF. Especially if you're trying to pass AC3.

Always set to HDMI before and never an issue. Why set to S/PDIF when I'm using HDMI?
Anyway, I switched to analog, and it worked for a while, then it stopped working, lost all sound again. I went and switch back to HDMI and it works. Go figure...
